Hello ! So i have my HP TouchSmart IQ526 all in one pc but i really want to have a little bit more performance so i can play a few games on it . The issue is the AIO has a graphics card in it the Nvidia Geforce 9300mgs whics uses a connector of pcie express x16 , and i thought if i buy a pcie express x16 extension cable from amazon and get a powersupply and a desktop graphics card like a GTX 690 or a GTX 980 , i thought i can connect the pcie express cable to the pc and then to the graphics card the desktop one and power the graphics card by the powersupply that I've bought. Do you think it will work ?

The AIO specs :

The extension cable :

Solution
It should work technically, but you won't get good fps no matter what GPU you pop into that machine. That core 2 Duo simply can't handle those high end GPUs, you need a completely new computer, there's no other way around it.

i don't really want to play a lot of games so like your saying i can play GTA IV and GTA V ?

ANY new game in general, that CPU won't do. Any games that are from 2010 or lower are probably good, but then a GTX 750 could easily max those games out.
