PLEASE LAPTOP RECOMMENDATION strictly dl/watching videos

looking to buy a laptop but there are just so many variances, i have not bought a laptop in over 10 years so i have no clue. please help.
budget $~550. is this reasonable?
this will only be strictly for heavy downloading, simultaneously streaming/watching videos.typical downloads are about 20-30gbs per day.
it will be connected to a tv so size should not matter. i dont care about battery life.

What specs should I be looking at when it comes to heavy video usage? is this the same as heavy multitasking?

Any decent video card and processor can handle heavy video usage. Streaming is very cpu intensive though. The laptop below has 1 tb of space, 940m gpu and core i5 processor. It's a well rounded machine.

A dedicated GPU is not necessary for watching video any integrated GPU than do that. The Acer is a pretty good value though for $500 since it can also play games. Just buy before the sale ends which could be at any point in time since the end date is not specified.

If you are simply looking for a low cost solution to watch videos then the following HP laptop will suffice for $370. It has lower processing performance and graphics performance and a 1366x768 screen rather than 1080p, but it is certainly more than enough to playback video.

If you want to play games, then do not hesitate about getting the Acer for $500.

Thankyou this is perfect but i am a bit sad it doesnt have a disc drive 🙁
