PnP Mic Problem!

Hello, I use a Samson PnP microphone and am currently having an issue that I never had in the past few months of having it. For some reason, my microphone has a crackling sound when I try to record with it or even speak, and it will sometimes progress to be unbearable and make my speech non-understandable. I've unplugged the laptop and tried every USB plug-in. What else can I do?

Have you tried another mic? Preferable one that you know works.
