Pokémon Go froze

Hi. I have been playing Pokémon Go since the launch date and almost everything worked fine. But today, I opened the app and the game froze at this weird screen right here: https/postimg.org/image/4m2nfn4w1/. I don't know what happened but if you know what's the problema please tell me. Thanks

Just restart the phone, it looks like a graphics driver crash.

Is it only in the app? Or is it your phone? Because this looks like a hardware issue to me.
Have you dropped your phone or exposed it to any liquids recently?
If moisture gets behind the display, it can screw up the screen, and result in a pixelated effect like the one present in the image.

Yeah, I worded that poorly!
Not necessarily, part of the screen could be pixelated, and still be perfectly functional!
Happens all the time with androids.

Again, screenshot.... any physical damage to the screen would not show up on the screenshot. Hence, it's likely a graphics "driver" crash, which can be fixed by restarting, at worst reformatting
