Question Polar M430 HRM Watch

I have a 3 year old Polar M430 GPS HRM. Works fine, but battery only last about 2 hours now (this watch has a rechargable battery). Problem is I asked Polar how to get the battery replaced and their customer service tell me this cannot be replaced and time to buy a new one! Surly not?? Talk about built in obsolescence.

I have tried to find an online battery supplier but only one - Alibaba, and it refers to a 600mAh battery which cannot be right so probably a scam. Is anyone here have any ideas or experienced this?

I already had to replace my Polar RCX3 as Polar discontinued the download software "Polar personal trainer", which made the watch pretty much useless. I bought a new one and now this one is obsolete as the battery cannot be replaced - seems odd. Appreciate any assistance.
