poor reception on new tv

Just bought a Vizio smart tv, I lost at least 4 channels with the autoscan and the rest seem weaker [more affected by weather]. I had been converting my old analog TV with a magnavox dvd that had a digital tuner, worked good. I have a good outdoor antenna 30 feet up on a tower.
any thoughts?

Have you checked for rotation of the antenna? Misalignment could cause that. Try AntennaPoint to verify the alignment. You will need a compass...
