Possible Cause of White Screen issue in Laptop

few months back I started to face white screen problem on my Lenovo g500 laptop. At first problem started during boot and then it would appear if I adjust the screen. Then it got worse.

A month back I decided to open the LCD panel since warranty is over of the laptop. I simply adjusted video cable and put little pressure on the adapter. It seems to fix the problem but now for last 2-3 days I am again getting the issue. What do you think is the problem? can I fix it?

try booting with any other bootble cd, try ubuntu to check, if you do not get any errors try reinstalling your OS

It is not a software issue. I have already checked that. Like I said, the issue was fixed after I opened the LCD panel.
