Microphone: http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ

Splitter (Or any, really - this is just an example): http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Speaker-and-Headphone-Splitter/dp/B000067RC4/ref=pd_sim_23_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=15A5PY2J4BJMMKGVXYJ9

So if I connected the headphones and the microphone to the splitter, connected the splitter to the given headphone cable, and plugged it into my computer, would it work?

Solution
hey little boy, first you should definitely invest in new headphones and mic. however, I actualy have that splitter and it doesn't work for mic/headphone combo. so if you can find one that is specifically separate for mic and headphone, it would definitely work.
