I have an Acer Aspire 4530 which is powering down immediately after I turn it on, usually taking no more than 10 seconds for the power to go off. The computer doesn't make it to either Windows boot or POST as the screen just remains blank.
The problem first occurred 2 months back. After being sent to a shop, where nothing was done as the notebook then decided to work. A month down the road, the problem pops up again.

I have tried many things from changing the RAM modules, cleaning the motherboard, changing the power brick and even swapping the CMOS battery for a new one. But, to no avail.

I believe it may have something to do with the power distribution/control aboard the motherboard but, I can't be too sure.

Note:
Running 64-bit Windows 7
No battery installed, the original died out a year back
AMD Turion X2, 4GB RAM & Nvidia 9100M

Your help is much appreciated :)
