Hi,
My acer Aspire 5536 laptop has developed a power problem. When I plug in the power adapter, the light on the adapter goes off and the laptop would not switch on, everything goes off. What should I do.

My acer Aspire 5536 laptop has developed a power problem. When I plug in the power adapter, the light on the adapter goes off and the laptop would not switch on, everything goes off. What should I do.

check the end of the ac adaptor pin.make sure the rubber/plastic spacer still there and the tip of the ac adaptore not shorting out.also check that the pin on the laptop is not bent or broken. a broken power pin or cracked solider join could cause the ac power brick to short out. most time on the ac brick over time like headphone wires a wire can be twisted and break or the adapter went bad from age. if you have a larger computer store near you call them up and see if they have your laptop ac brick in stock if not pick one up from ebay..there cheap part to replace.
