Power socket broken, best way to retrieve data

My Samsung laptop power socket is broken, the battery is flat and i need to retrieve data asap. Any suggestions on how to do this at home?

Remove the hdd put it in a desktop

But dont boot from it it'll probably crash

if the unit under warranty rma it to samsung for repair. if it out of warranty look online see if the power plug is a small part that can be replaced or that part on a small power board that can be swapped. if not see if there a local laptop repair shop that can soilder on a new port. the port should be 10 bucks. time for the shop to open and replace the port.
