Power supply for 5.1home theathre

i have old 5.1 system and i want to make it portable so instead of its power supply which is rated at 12v x 2 2.5amps im not sure can i use car battery to supply it thanks

Do you mean 12v x 2 each 2.5 amps or 12v x 22.5 amps?
You could power it with one or two car batteries but the question is how long would it play before the battery ran flat.
