powerful tablets for a student

Most likely, you want a windows tablet. What exactly do you mean power of a laptop? Almost all tablets have available removable keyboard docks or covers. What will you be using it for that needs "laptop power"

by power of a laptop i mean i want something that has the storage ram and gpu strong enough for gaming (not at max quality but the ability to do it)

You do realize that tablets don't run windows unless it is a windows tablet, I mean a lot of tablets will play Android games. yes i know of the differences between win8 and android. i had discounted android entirely due to the fact that i need windows for games. these are exactly what i was looking for btw and i am now wondering if there are others like them or if things like the hard drive can be swapped.

Why, for almost the price of a Razer Tablet and it doesn't have a dedicated GPU, so it can't play any games, the Razer tablet has played crysis 3 on low/med settings. It is a windows tablet btw.

ASUS Eee Slate B121-A1 12.1-Inch Tablet PC - White http/www.amazon.com/dp/B005HV3IMY?tag=130d3e-20 also a good tablet and very cost effective too. So if you are price conscious then it's a good alternative to think for.
