pressing F8 does not work

i was reseting my toshiba to factory setting forgot to plug it in battery ran out every thing stoped ,so now i can not load restore by pressing F8 and no windows 7 help plzssssssssssssssss

Can you enter the BIOS?

Try pressing "del" or "f1" when powering up the PC.

If you can enter the BIOS can you see if the computer recognises if there is a operating system installed

sorry but i am new to comp,what is an BIOS ?keeps saying boot is missing ?

You may need to get a new restore disk for the laptop if you can't get into the restore partition. When the power cut out it could have damaged the partitions on the hard drive. Find a friend that knows about computer to check the BIOS to see if the hard drive is seen in the system, you may need to try to load Windows off a DVD or USB drive if the restore partition does not work.
