Problem after Factory Default Restore (Gateway NV79)

Restored a Gateway NV79 to factory settings via the restore menu. Process seemed to run fine and prompted for reboot, but upon confirming the machine shutdown and will not start back up again.

Hitting the power button has the power LED go blue for a second or two, but nothing else happens. No fans, and no other indication of start-up.

Tried going through the ESD process, but no change. Suggestions?

Turned out the AC power cord was faulty. Running through the factory default process drained the machine just enough to where it didn't have enough juice to post after restart. A night of charging with a proper cable, and it booted right up, picked up with the reformat, and is ready for re-contamination.
