Problem Duplicating Displays through HDMI

So here are my systems specs. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 series - i5-5200U 2.2 GHz with a Intel HD Graphics 5500. When I hook up my laptop to my TV I can only extend display, or display on 2nd device or display on 1st device. I cannot duplicate displays on both monitors. This works with my other laptop using the same TV and HDMI cable. Am I missing a setting or something, what could be causing the problem here? Thanks

i think you have press function f5. you can also right click desktop and choose screen resolution. then under multi displays change your option./
