Problem with 50 inch plasma tv

I need some advice, recently within the last 2 days my tv has started acting up. when i turn it on after giving it a break for a few hours the screen will be entirely screwed up. its just alot of mixture of different color pixels all over the screen. While doing this it also gives off a weird sound through the speakers. I am thinking it could be just a board in it since if i turn it off and on 3 times it goes back to normal. any ideas?

PSU fail code however it is being caused by failure of the SC board is what I found but need more info like make & model

sorry, it is a samsung 50 in plasma, model number is PN50A550S1F, manufactured in 2008

I would open the back and check for blown capacitors on the power board first.
