Problem with Sony Bravia

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-40S5100. After a storm the sound died and the screen went very dark, leaving barely a ghost of images. Can someone tell me where the problem is? Thanks

Sounds like the backlight on the TV is not working so you get almost no picture. Since you have no sound either the audio board, power supply or both are damaged. A electrical surge due to the storm may have forced you to get a new TV.
