hey guys, i have a laptop with 2 graphics card intel and the geforce 840m i installed drivers for the 840m and then made it default graphics card but now every time i run a game it goes to black screen after loading

When I try to open games that default to my NVIDIA graphics card, they refuse to load anything past a black screen,If I go through my device manager and disable my NVIDIA card and use the Intel HD Graphics 5500 card, I am able to play any games without any problem, with the exception of bad fps. ive tried everything i could think of and it still wont work . Will appreciate any suggested solutions to my problem, thank you in advance

Did yo install GeForce and updated to the latest drivers? I have a 920m on my laptop, and most of the games will load.

yes actually just installed it bcz i didnt even know i had a 840m

Well it could be a driver issue. Download DDU, and completely remove it. Then re-install it with GeForce.

What's the exact laptop you have? I had this issue before, but by re-installing it usually fixed it. Did you go into NVIDIA's control panel and change settings?
yeah i did that and it gave me a black screen on every game but if i disable the 840m it goes back to normal, and its a lenovo core i7 4510u
