Projector issue

Hi
Just wondering if someone can help. I purchased an Acer projector with poor internal speakers. I’ve tried to attach to external speakers but there’s no audio out. I purchased a Bluetooth transmitter but can’t use as no audio out on projector. Would a HDMI to HDMI plus audio convertor work? This is all new to me and I don’t want to buy something else that doesn’t work, many thanks

What is connected to the projector as the video source? Can you connect your speaker system to that instead? For instance, I used to have a projector connected to me PC. My audio system was connected to my PC as well and I just directed my audio through that output.
