The projector resolution is different then the laptops screen. Just go into the properties and change it to whatever it looked like before. (1440x800, 1680x1050, etc.) It's probably running at either 640x480, or 800x600.
What do you mean it cannot receive input. What jack on the side of your laptop did you plug your cable into, does the laptop even notify you that a projector has been connected, ...? Can you be a bit more specific?
I have laptop dell inspiron 9400 and need to connect to projector but the projector can not receive input from my laptop. Could you please help me?
Thanks
Jimson

Dear Sir/Ms,
I try to change the resolution once the projector working but the resolution can't change same as previous (1680x1050) prior connected. Do you have any idea? Thank you very much.
I'm not sure what the problem is. You came here saying you couldn't get your laptop to work with the projector. The problem was fixed, but you said something about the icons to big. Your last post seems to say that it's "same as previous (1680x1050), but that tells me there is no more problem. What exactly is wrong now?
