Ps1 on new tv help please

Hi and thanks for the help anyone can provide.
So yesterday I decided to take out my ps1 to play but come to find out it doesn't work on my new tv. So I tried playing it on the ps2. Still wont play ps1 games Ps2 games play normal. After some research I found out the tv doesn't support 240 resolution which ps1 outputs. Is there any way to like upscale the ps1 resolution before it goes to the tv the lowest res the tv supports is 480.

Also when I was doing some research came across this thing called framemeister alot of ppl saying good things about it but 400$ isnt in the stars for me. Is there anything like that just for a ps1 that's inexpensive
