Interesting article. I was surprised you didn't touch on the storage capacity issue.
PS5 uses a proprietary SSD. It starts with 825 GB before OS overhead. PS5 games appear to be around 80 to 100GB +. Is the tradeoff for faster speeds going to be worth storing only 8 - 10 games on the SSD?
Can you choose storage size over storage speed and just plop a standard 1.5TB SSD in there??
Sounds like a Possibly good argument for getting the HD optical version where maybe not all data has to be stored on SSD??
I would be upgrading from a ps4 pro in my situation and would be looking at the UHD disc version anyway so I can play UHD videos. But might wait til they release a 1.5 or larger SSD before taking the plunge.
So many games delayed this year anyway. Content is likely to be a wasteland for a little while.
