I am confused in between two laptop models:

1. Hp pavillion Gaming 15 (http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/Laptops/hp-pavilion-15-non-touch-m0u61av-1)
2. Dell inspiron 15 7559 (http://www.dell.com/us/p/inspiron-15-7559-laptop/pd?oc=dncwpw5716h&model_id=inspiron-15-7559-laptop)

I'll be buying it in the US and bring it back to India.
I have seen that their are some issues with the build of dell(in screen and mouse pad).On the other hand my friends who have lower versions of HP are very much satisfied with their product.

Now in terms of build, display quality and other features wise, which one is better.
I am a little inclined towards HP.
I want to know whether gtx 950 4gb in hp is gddr5 or ddr3. Also playing games like GTA V and Assasins Creed Syndicate, is the performance of GTX 960 really really far ahead of GTX 950 (Like I can play in high settings in 960 but on low only in 950).
Is GTX 950 good enough ?

You can perhaps contact the HP for info on weather it is GDDR3 or GDDR5. There may be variations of the same model with both available in different parts of the world.

As far as checking how a game will run on the particular card, this is the most useful site i have found.

As you can see from this site, assassins creed syndicate will run at 20.6 Fps at high settings with 950m versus 29.9 Fps with 960m.

GTA 5 will run at 43.55 Fps with 960m and 27.4 Fps with 950m (high settings)

I too am just a novice but I would go for 960m just to future proof it for a few years.
