Purchased a JBL J88i to use with PC and G3. Works fine on the phone, but mic doesn't work on PC (I have a pin splitter)

Hey.

I've purchased this JBL J88i headset. Mic works fine on my LG G3 and I've confirmed that it ain't the phone mic that's picking up my voice (by blowing on the headset mic and listening to it), but even though I own a 4 pin to 2x 3 pin splitter (which works with the stock LG G3 earphones, with a Philips Uptown and a Sony headset), I can't make the microphone work on this headset with the PC. The speaker works fine.

If I turn on the listening to my mic and speak, blow, yell, tap on it, I won't hear anything. If I click on any button of the headset (volume +, answer call, volume -) I can hear a click. If I turn off acoustic echo cancellation, I can hear any windows noise with a delay/echo, but still nothing from the actual mic.

Is the pinout different or something? What might be wrong there? I've checked the pin length and it matches every other working headset pins, so a bad contact can be ruled off, probably.

This is driving me nuts! It works on STOCK windows audio drivers flawlessly! But as the stock windows drivers doesn't provide an simple band equalizer, the sound sucks a little. When I install the Realtek drivers, the mic is kinda muted with this headset (while still working with my LG G3 earbuds).

Can I somehow retain the Realtek software with stock drivers, or how can I make it activate the microphone?!
