Put Minecraft on a Computer without internet

I just built my first computer, but we don't have a wireless router and my parents get mad when I disconnect the ethernet from our home computer(Mac Mini) and into mine (Ubuntu 12.04). I wanted to install Minecraft on my new computer so I have something to do while I save up the money for a wireless router. Is there a way I can install Minecraft on a flash drive from my Mac and install it onto my a lot better Ubuntu machine?

Yea just install the Linux version of Mincraft on USB flash from your Mac Mini then plug the USB flash drive in your Ubuntu system and continue from there.
