What are you using as a modem? Is it a cellphone?

My GSM provider (in the US) doesn't support fax calls unless I pay a
$10 monthly fee (which I don't do!)

According to the log you posted, there was no carrier detected after
dialing- did you try dialling the number from your phone to see if a
fax answers?

Good luck!

The QTek 1010 is a cellular phone with pocket pc capabilities so u don't
need additional hardware...

Yes and this way it works. I think it's only a software compatibility
problem!
Thanks,
Matteo

Check with your carrier if your account includes the fax service...

Did it but Vodafone told me I don't need to activate any service... I
sincerily don't trust in call centers but I tried to send a fax using my
nokia 6100 with the same Sim I used on 1010 and it worked... :-S

Matteo,
don't know whether this applies to cellphones too, but I saw that your
log file shows connection through a serial cable on COM2. I had a
similar problem, however when using a landline. The simple solutions was
to go into modem settings in your DUN and disable carrier detection.
