Hi all. Before I ask my question I think I should describe my room to you. It is basically a square. Directly across from my bed I plan to put a TV. I.e. so I can sit on the side of the bed and watch TV/play games on the TV. Rotate 90 degrees left of that wall (the wall where I want to put the TV) there is another wall that my desk and PC are set up against.
I am hoping to be able to put surround in my room, and use it for both positions in the room. So when I am at my computer, I can adjust the speakers so that the two speakers in front of me are the two front speakers, the ones behind me are the back speakers, etc. I would also want to do this from my bed. So the 2 speakers in front of me there (a different 2 speakers from the ones that would be in front of me at my desk) would be the front speakers and the ones behind me would be the back ones, etc.
Is this possible? If the question is confusing I could draw up a diagram in paint to clear things up. Basically, I want to be able to tell my speakers where I am listening from, and have them adjust accordingly, so the sound that is supposed to be coming from the front is not playing from the sides, etc. Does normal surround sound support this?
