Hey, I am in the road and need to buy a quick 4 core laptop, as my old is acting up.
I will upgrade with my own SSD and 16gb of ram.
I was looking at HP Omen and 15-bc201 pavillion model that look identical. No-cd rom(i really dont want to have) and same chasis and inputs and outputs. Just color is different and Pavillion is cheaper (725€ vs 850€) it is i7 6700hq with 960m graphics, battery seems the same as well.
Is there any build quality difference or something I am missing?
There is also HP Omen with i7 7700hq and 1050 available for cca 980€, but I don't use graphic card, just cpu with lot of multitasking and programs running and I think 6700hq is already good enough.
I read about some performance drops etc. after longer use, I need to have it running for 7-8 hours straight. Is that an issue? No games but cpu kind of intensive
Other options are Lenovo ideapad 700,lenovo y700, asus gl552, gl553, fx553 (7th generation).
I like no cd rom and IPS screen and that is fairly portable, otherwise like Asus as my preferred company
Thank you guys, need to go into action fast so any advice is really appreciated if you have any experience
