You had me worried there for a second ! I thought it might have actually been killed by some Goverment Gestapo wannabe.

So what's the solution ? Pull the plug on alt.binaries.* ? Definitely a good start. Limiting file types to text ? But in the end you have the biggest archive of all. The remnants of DejaNews that Google bought, rebuilt and now hosts as Google Groups.
