Solved! Ram in a computer

Solution

There is no generic answer to this, I suggest you go straight to your vendor's specific forum and ask people who actually own this laptop.

Sometime when u buy the new laptop, vendor says max blah-blah because at that time, those were the max memory configuration available, then time passes and lo and behold ram density improves and now they can cram more in the same configuration, maybe, that's why you have to ask the right people who may have gone through the same Q u have.

If the motherboard is actually limited to 8GB, either it will not recognise the extra 8, or it will crash.

What is telling you that the limit is 8GB?
What system and OS is this?
