Razer kraken pro mic not working ps4

So I was making fun of the Rambo video game with my friends and I yelled a good bit into my mic with a close proximity to my mouth. Now the damn mic doesn't work unless I press the damn things right up to my face, and even then my friends say it's hard to hear. The audio is fine, but I'd like to talk to other people. Can someone help me troubleshoot this thing?

Can you remove the cover over the microphone or is it a moulded one piece unit? If so it might have some drool and leftover food embedded in it ... take a look it you can to try to clean it.
