Razor Blade Stealth?

My nephew saved his summer job money and wants to buy a laptop for gaming.

I am a desktop gamer so I am little help to him.

he said he was thinking of buying the Razor Blade Stealth.

Based on the info below, can I get some opinions/options?

We'd be buying any hardware in Canadian funds

1. What is your budget? $1500

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? CS:GO, Sims 4, Star Wars on MED-HIGH resolution

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) no editing, basic school work

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? 1tb+

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. myself I deal with NCIX in Canada but I believe he was considering buying the Razor directly from them.

13. What country do you live in? Canada

Unless I'm seeing things, true gaming laptop does not use intel integrated graphics. Which mean graphics card would be an add-on, what graphics card is he going with on this laptop?

i hope hes fully aware that a laptop will never reach the peformance of a desktop for the price.

the current razer blade stealth features intel hd graphics 520: which means for gaming: 30 fps medium settings for triple a games like gta 5 witcher 3.
sure csgo league easily 60fps and youtube 60fps on 2k.

thats the problem in that price range u get these intel graphics or a gtx 960m which will give the fps in my previous comment(for both of them)

No I don't recommend the Razer Blade Stealth. YOU NEED the dock to game on it well, and it's a completely rip off at $500 for the dock alone!

I highly recommend the MSI GT72 notebooks. It's a bit bigger, but it's the best bang for your buck in terms of price to performance on a laptop. (I recommend the GT notebooks with GTX 1060.)
