RCA speaker bar to a LG 60LB5200 TV

I have a RCA RTS7010B sound bar connected to a LG 60LB5200 LED TV , and no sound coming thru to the sound bar??
I used a regular RCA cable 1 male to the TV coax "digital audio out" connector, and the cable splits to 2 regular RCA female connectors. Plugged the 2 female connectors into the sound bar via an extension cable. Not a sound comes out the sound bar, I did not use a coaxial cable to do this.
To me they are the same? Not sure.
What should I do to solve the no audio out of the sound bar????

The TV digital audio output is not the same at all as the analog stereo input of the sound bar even though they both use RCA connections. You will need one of these:

to convert to analog.
