Solved! rca tv turns on sometimes

I have a 32 inch flat screen. the red power light goes out when I push the power button but usually won't come on unless I unplug it 3 or 4 times and keep trying. I have tried leaving it unplugged for the day until I'm ready to watch it but it hasn't helped. anybody?

For a 32" RCA TV you are better off just replacing it instead of buying new parts like a power or system board.
