Later today, I shall be receiving my new SSD. I plan to install windows 7 onto it through booting up the pc with the windows 7 install disk with only the SSD plugged in. After that, I will plug in my old HDD for file storage. My question is, how can i delete the windows 7 files that were on my hard drive, after I have installed windows 7 onto my SSD?

Solution
Hi,

You can format that HDD inside Windows using Disk Management. Once your SSD is ready with an operating system installed and the HDD installed as well try this steps.
- Click Start then right click on Computer and select Manage
- Select Disk Management under Storage
- Once Disk Management is open you'll see all the drives in your PC.
- To format right click on your HDD then select Format.
- Just follow the onscreen instructions and that should wipe it down clean.
