Quick question. After I enabled HDR and Advanced Colors my TV became REALLY dark. I thought because HDR streams sending how each pixel should be lit I'll have nice picture when actual movie will be played, but nothing happed all I see is a movie on this really dark screen. What I am missing ?

For years I've been using PowerDVD because of it's ability to play nice with everything I trow at it. Dynamic resolution change or HD 7.1 audio when it just became a thing, I never had any problems. But not this time I really thought PowerDVD will take exclusive control over my TV and ajust everything it needed just like before it did. But nothing happening.
Like before I actually saw TV blinking when powerdvd took control and picture changed or resolution changed etc, basically before TV was controlled with my player and not what I setup in Nvidia settings, it did what it needed to give me best quality and did all ajustments.

If possible can you recommend something because according to all settings I see my PC and my TV HDR connection is enabled and ready to rock'n roll. Why I am looking at dark screen ?

Here is DXDiag and my specs.

PC, 1080ti connected via really good HDMI cable to VSX-101 AVR and then to TV. On TV side I have UHD turned on and according info page on TV it's receiving UHD HDR from HDMI1 , that's my HDMI from PC.

As a player I use PowerDVD. I also tried VLC, MPC-HC and Windows 10 Video player.

Yeah I went to Microsoft and it looks like it's Microsoft Bug. I don't know if it's possible to RUN HDR content from Windows 10 PC at all at the moment because of this dull / dark UI.

Take a look here

Adjust the brightness of SDR content on your HDR display: Starting with Build 17040, Windows now lets you adjust how bright SDR content appears when running in HDR mode on the desktop. GTX1080TI should not have issues with HDR if you have the latest driver and if your Win10 is up2date (HDR is only for Win10)

1. Is the TV HDR10 compatible and is the TV an HDR TV?
2. To play HDR movies: Is the movie HDR is recordedd in HDR? Is the player software HDR capable?
3. Regardless of which HDR standard e.g. HDR10, DolbyVision, etc., HDR technology is still on it's infancy state especially on the TV side (panel). Stupid stuffs may and will appear.

Because UI and Windows in General considered SDR content they don't know how to show it when HDR TV is connected and HDR Advanced colors are used on TV as a monitor.

I guess I answered my own question.

Also BFG-9000 , yeah same here for some reason mu MU9000 came with HDR / UHD disabled on all HDMI ports , you have to enable them otherwise you will not get it , even with right hardware.

Back to $200 Nvidia Shield that plays perfect HDR 4K and Atmos 7.1 Master tracks via my AVR.
