Realtek ac97 no sounds

I have this problem for 1 week now any help ill appreciate it. this was my problem i install a new motherboard TFORCE945P 2.0 and everything was fine but my audio has no sounds i upgrade my driver and try other version but no effect i can play music in wmp but no sounds please someone can help me thanks

That's a pretty old board to still have ac97. Have you checked Windows/Sounds to see if you have your output device set as the default? What are you using for speakers ans where are they plugged in?

I had the same issue. Noone could explain it. Most likely it's a bad on-board sound card. I didn't feel like going through crap to get a replacement motherboard, so i got a asus sound card instead. no issues at all.
