Realtek singles out my headset and mic as only headphones

I got my new pc and my motherboard (MSI970A SLI Krait Edition) came with realtek hd audio manager. I like it so far but I've been having an issue with it not recognizing the microphone in my headset. The Headset only plugs into one audio jack instead of two so realtek just gets me to set it up to headphones. I have tried mic in but it still doesn't notice the mic. I really would like to know if there is something I can do for my headset

I unfortunatly don't actually have an audio splitter so I was looking for an alternative.
