How do I turn an old pair of 5.1 rear surround sound speakers into stereo speakers, maybe for a computer? The best set of instructions would to be so by the end I can just plug them into an iPod or desktop. I don't know a lot about speakers, but i think these connect by those black and red holes that you have to clamp a bare wire into. Any help? Also maybe a way I can make a case for them as they were meant to be in-wall. I'd appreciate any help. :)

Solution
If they are amplified (active speakers) then all you need to do is have the correct adapters and wires. If they are not amps (passive) then forget about connecting them directly to PC/ipod etc - you need an amplifier with the correct specs to power them
