Question Regarding battery life

about 4 months ago i bought a new battery for my laptop, it always used a lot of battery and it's very old which makes it worse but i was able to easily get to 2 hours of usage and now the battery can barely last 1 hour and i want to know if it's possible for it to degrade so quickly or if the battery is actually bad since it's still under warranty

The problem could be in the power block. I had the same a week ago and nearly condemned the whole laptop.

They're not expensive and buying one may suceed in getting electricity from the wall to the laptop's battery.

did you use the exact same oem replacement battery or one that was compatible from a third party?
