Regular vs Custom Laptop

I am looking to buy the msi gt70 ,unless i can find something better under $1500, and wanted to know if I should buy from msi and newegg or customizable places like xotic. If you any other websites please tell me.

Im in the U.S. and im looking around $1500 (this will be my laptop for college also).

The model u chose is decent. And Msi laptops are made solid IMO.
