Hello, I just reinstalled windows 7 onto my laptop and now I cannot connect to the internet. I am unsure of what drivers to use because the one that is installed doesnt work. Does anyone know how to solve this issue.

Did you restore the factory image using recovery partition, or did you just use the generic windows disk?

If the latter then you need to go to dell.com and download drivers from there.

Your laptop had several options for its wifi card.

You will need to take off the bottom panel so that you can access the wifi chip and get the model number of it.
The wifi chip is a little square chip that has a single black wire and single white wire going to it.

This is the wifi chip I have WIRELESS : DELL WIRELESS 1501 (802.11G/N

Do you know that because you have checked it, or because the dell website said that is what you have? I have seen the dell service tag be wrong on what parts a computer has.

I used the service tag, but I will go and check manually
