Solved! Remote code stuck

My Panasonic DMR-ez485V combo DVD/ VCR is frozen in rc-2 after I switched it from rc-1 (the correct code)! When it wouldn't switch back, I turned the unit off. Even holding 2 and ok as manual says doesn't regain connection to remote. Unit and remote can't connect.

I.e.,

Solution 1: Hold the Enter AND 2 or 1 or 3 buttons for at least five seconds

Solution 2: Reconfigure the DMR to listen for RC1 or RC2 or RC3
(Function Menu -> Select SETUP -> Change Remote Control option to 1 or 2 or 3)
