Removing the word DEMO from my android screen

I am a silver surfer and know absolutely nothing about my tablet. Suddenly the word DEMO, in red letters, appeared on my tablet. I have tried various ways of deleting this but to no avail. I have asked on the internet and there seems to be a lot of users with the same problem. Any help, advice would be appreciated.

Cannot read anything else due to the word DEMO across the scree.

It involves downloading a zip file and installing it.

it says in the about section it is a dual core-a23 model Q8h android version 4.4.2 firmware version v2.0.8 build number polaris _a7oh-eng 4,2.2 JDQ39 20140530 test-keys

I am kind of computer stupid. I have been trying to fix this tablet for hours now and I am unable to do this. is there anyway you could walk me through it. I have a 4.2.2 android that i got off ebay in july never had any trouble out of it until now. it shows the DEMO word across the screen,
