Solved! Repacing the hard drive

Hello,
Im going to replace my hard drive on a acer aspire 5315 with the exact hard drive (new) what are the procedures please also going to upgrade to 2gb ram with the exact ram thats in there anything I should know before I proceed?

disconnect the power and take out the battery before you start working on the laptop.
