I stepped on my sony vaio laptop screen and the screen got vertical bars (looks like http/www.thecomputercellar.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/jxGIxm.jpg).
I ordered a replacement and installed it. Looks ok, boots fine, but the bars show up as soon as Windows starts loading. I figure I must have damaged it during install.
I ordered a second replacement, same thing happens.
The video driver seems ok, because an external monitor works great.
Is this a hardware/connector issue? If so, can I fix it?
Is it a software/driver issue?
