Replaced cracked screen, now 3 weeks later it's glitching!

As the title suggests, 3 weeks ago I replaced the broken screen of my friend's Compaq laptop after her son stood on the screen. Today she let me know the screen has started glitching. The glitches change on the screen when the laptop is moved, either around the room while being carried or when the screen is moved to a more closed or open position via the hinges.

I've had a look at the unit and there's no obvious hardware problem like loose connections or wires being pinched and it's got me scratching my head!

I didn't replace or resintall the drivers for the display/graphics as the replacement screen was the exact same make and model of the original, broken, screen. AFAIK the son only stood on the screen and not the keyboard/motherboard half of the laptop when he broke the thing in the first place.

Could this be a software issue? Is there anything obvious that I've missed?

There is a faulty connection. Either loose, or partially broken.
