Replacement Laptop Charger Polarity

My Toshiba Satellite laptop needs a new charger and the polarity symbol on the original charger looks like: (-)--(.--(+) but the replacement chargers mainly have this symbol: (+)--.)--(-)
Will this still work with my laptop?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, what Toshiba model do you have? If the new charger does not have the same polarity as the original, you will damage the laptop.

It is a Toshiba Satellite C655D.

Ok, they have the same polarity, it's just the way they print the polarity. But they must have the same voltage and the amperage the same or higher.
