My old Acer laptop charger doesn't work. It is 19V, 4.74A, 90W. I have in my house an originale Sony charger 19.5v, 4.7A, 90W. So the differences are that 0.5V and 0.04A. Will it work?
For short of checking yes, long term no.
Same for charger of phone, trust me Ive seen it many times.
5V straight vs 5.25-.30V
5v 5 years of use no bulged battery,
5.25-5.3V (this is with margain of 5%), battery gets bulged after 1 year.
Well, from my experience, That 0.5V is withn margain of 5%, but, still if voltage goes up it might burn the charger controller.
Soo, Personally I wouldnt.
Ok.. This laptop isn't mine. So I just need to check if the charger is the real problem of this laptop. I need to insert and turn on the laptop. After it, I need to reinstall everything. To leave the laptop working for the weekend.
After the weekend because I got to go out my city, I will buy a charger 19v, 4.74a.
